Enchanted (2007)

>> Tuesday, April 5, 2011

Plot:
A classic Disney fairytale collides with modern-day New York City in a story about a fairytale princess who is sent to our world by an evil queen. Soon after her arrival, Princess Giselle begins to change her views on life and love after meeting a handsome lawyer. Can a storybook view of romance survive in the real world?

My Comment:
I've seen this movie twice, and I am still excited to watch it. It's exciting to know the idea to collaborate magical fairy tales to a real life situation. And I'm satisfied. Like usual, Patrick Dempsey is a hot dude, and he really looked very young in this movie. Just like other disney's movies, it also delivered nice arranged soundtracks by Alan Menken. Moreover, Amy Adams and James Marsden could sing brilliantly. Recommended.

The King's Speech (2010)

>> Sunday, March 27, 2011

Plot:
The story of King George VI of Britain, his impromptu ascension to the throne and the speech therapist who helped the unsure monarch become worthy of it.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1504320/

My Comment:
This movie left me in amazement. It's brilliant, superb! Colin Firth is a genius, might take time to learn stammering like that. I had a slight tearjerker moment. This movie was too good to be true especially for the friendship between the Lionel and Bertie, and the inspiring history. I checked it true the trustful source, and the story was true. Now I get it, why this movie succeeded gaining oscars. Helena Bonham Carter also had an important role in this movie, unlike in Harry Potter movies. It's funny to see that Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix) and Timothy Spall (Pettigrew) were on the good side (Harry Potter).

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010)

>> Tuesday, December 7, 2010

Plot:
As Harry races against time and evil to destroy the Horcruxes, he uncovers the existence of three most powerful objects in the wizarding world: the Deathly Hallows.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0926084/

My Comment:
I haven't read the 7th book which is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. So I was thinking to watch it after reading the book. And, I was very upset that i had to watch it without reading the book beforehand. However, the movie was great, and it's very suspense! Every scene was very important, and it was hard for me to not focus on it. I start to think that maybe it's better to watch the movie first, because i would not know, what would happen next.... Harry Potter's movie is getting more suspense, and scarier, with the killings and stuff. It's not suitable for children. If you had children, just give the first three Harry Potter's movies.

Plot:
Harry finds himself selected as an underaged competitor in a dangerous multi-wizardary school competition.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0330373/

My Comment:
I must say that this fourth Harry Potter movie was getting scarier especially for children. Dark, dead people, voldemort, wew, but i really like this movie, the best Harry Potter movie i've ever seen, it was worth to watch! I like the dragon scene, even though the whole story was so much different with the JK Rowling's novel

My Comment:
My comments are...

Too much snoggings, no love chemistries, good effects, different from the book especially a scene where hogwarts students fight with the death eaters...
i think that this movie was quite confusing but worth to watch
