Jane Eyre (1996)

>> Sunday, October 16, 2011

Plot:
Jane Eyre is an orphan cast out as a young girl by her aunt, Mrs. Reed, and sent to be raised in a harsh charity school for girls. There she learns to be come a teacher and eventually seeks employment outside the school. Her advertisement is answered by the housekeeper of Thornfield Hall, Mrs. Fairfax. Written by Volker Boehm

My Comment:
I was really touched by this movie. Tearjerker since the first scene. It was a harsh, painful journey for Jane, and during the movie I was hoping that it would be a happy ending, a happy situation for Jane. It turned out that way, however, I am not satisfied because in the end I only felt gloomy. The actors were great, they played really good, I just do not fond of the ending, I should try to watch another Jane Eyre version and compare it to this movie.

Almost Famous (2000)

>> Sunday, October 10, 2010

Plot:
A high-school boy is given the chance to write a story for Rolling Stone Magazine about an up-and-coming rock band as he accompanies it on their concert tour.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0181875/

My Comment:
Another rock music theme movie. And it's the best rock movie I've ever seen. Campared with Sex & Drugs & Rock and Roll, this movies was better. It's fresh, more lively and fresh. Unlike Sex & Drugs & Rock and Roll which was dark and confusing. This movie was about our love about rock music, that we would anything for it, and also a good friendship, and off course coolness of a band. This movie told us everything about rock bands. However, there are many climax in this movie, which i think was uniquely good. It's exciting.

X-Men : The Last Stand (2006)

>> Friday, September 3, 2010

Plot:
When a cure is found to treat mutations, lines are drawn amongst the X-Men, led by Professor Charles Xavier, and the Brotherhood, a band of powerful mutants organized under Xavier's former ally, Magneto.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0376994/

My Comment:
Not too X-cellent for the last stand. There was something bothering me, It's just I don't like the plot. Irritating, and in some points I acknowledged it like medieval times, hiding at the forest, too classic and I don't like it. Many mutant powers were discovered when Magneto's team attacked, but not too many, so my hoping to see more incredible powers was not happening. However it was still a good flick to watch, nice action, and it's very important to know what was the end of this trilogy.

X2 (2003)

Plot:
The X-Men band together to find a mutant assassin who has made an attempt on the President's life, while the Mutant Academy is attacked by military forces.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0290334/

My Comment:
This second sequel of x-men was growing into a more complicated plot which was nice. The first movie was just an average and not showy on the abilities. What I like about this movie is the suspense, more imaginative on the ability, more heroes actions. However you should watch the first movie before watching this second sequel.

X-Men (2000)

Plot:
Two mutants come to a private academy for mutants whose resident superhero team must oppose a powerful mutant terrorist organization.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120903/

My Comment:
This movie was cool! Even though there were a lot of differences with the original comics, and the x-men I'd imagined to be real, it was quite real in this movie. The effects were cool and the plot was great. I always like heroes figures. They have their own character, however, the mutants on Prof. Xavier side was weaker, they should learn more martial arts.
