>> Monday, May 9, 2011

Plot:
The son of a virtual world designer goes looking for his father and ends up inside the digital world that his father designed. He meets his father's creation turned bad and a unique ally who was born inside the digital domain of The Grid.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1104001/

My Comment:
The good news is this movie is far better than the first movie of TRON. It's more sophisticated, the story was better and more emotional (not like the first movie, oh I hate the plot). It's a relieve that this movie was full of real action and not so much on the programming words. However, for you who haven't watch the first of TRON, you might be confused, because the story was kinda related. TRON (1982) explained what is TRON and its world. This movie turned out to be more like disney movie. Overall, it's not bad.

Awards:

Austin Film Critics Association 2010:

Plot:
A hacker is literally abducted into the world of a computer and forced to participate in gladiatorial games where his only chance of escape is with the help of a heroic security program.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084827/

My Comment
From the very first scene of this movie, I know it was going to be hard for me to like this movie. The first scene pictured program's human form, they talked... But, after that scene (the real world) was better, because it started to make sense and I finally understood the story. However, the story went back to the program world again, and it's really excruciating. I'm fully understand that this movie tried to explain, that computer similar like human, they work and they can be exhausted. But, it's just too boring...

True Grit (2010)

Plot:
A tough U.S. Marshal helps a stubborn young woman track down her father's murderer.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1403865/

My Comment:
It was good for a remake movie, the actors were brilliant. I like Mattie, she's tough however it was a little bit exaggerate on characterizing her (this critic might involve the novel). A bit more drama than the action. But, it was a bit drowsy, and the story was anti-climax. Jeff Bridges was cool, but it reminds me of his previous oscar nominated movie, Crazy Heart, and I still think that his characters in these two movies were similar, and it might because of vodka.

Iron Man (2008)

Plot:
When wealthy industrialist Tony Stark is forced to build an armored suit after a life-threatening incident, he ultimately decides to use its technology to fight against evil.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0371746/

My Comment:
It was the best superhero movie i've ever watched. Brilliant! And it's unique. And the plot was cool. Not like other superhero movies. They were irrational (bitten by bug or alien). But this one was full technology! The character was unlike usual hero, Tony was a player and he liked to be praise, and that's why he admitted that he was iron man.
I've watched this movie twice and i'm going to watch it again!

Just like Bad did, pour it all to music and let everyone feels what we feels...
